Shangri-La Farm

Shangri-La Farm is an intensive biodynamic farm located in Fern Prairie, a few miles north of Camas, WA. We are a 100% natural farm. At Shangri-La we do not use any sprays or pesticides in our farming practices. All the food we grow is “non-certified” organic.  Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. In the book, “Shangri-La” is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia - a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. In the novel Lost Horizon, the people who live at Shangri-La are almost immortal, living years beyond the normal lifespan and only very slowly aging in appearance.

A new growing season is finally underway at Shangri-La Farm.  The entire garden is finally planted. Due to cold weather, our winter crops are late this year. Shangri-La Farm is currently offering free range eggs and fresh herbs. Organic greens should be ready in late June.
